Netters host San Francisco on Friday

PROVO, Utah – For the third week in a row the No. 41 BYU men’s tennis team plays at home, as it hosts San Francisco on Friday at noon MDT at the BYU Indoor Tennis Courts.
 
BYU (13-4, 2-0 West Coast Conference) won its previous two matches at home, both over ranked opponents. The Dons (6-3, 0-0 WCC) are the Cougars’ third conference opponent this season.
 
With its win over New Mexico last week, the Cougars improve to 32-0 in the mountain region over the last four years.
 
In singles play, junior Patrick Kawka enters the match as the No. 42 nationally ranked player.
 
Sophomore Keaton Cullimore has won five consecutive matches at the No. 4 position, dating back to Feb. 23 with a victory over Devin Lane from Utah. Cullimore holds a 10-4 record this season.
 
The duo of Francis Sargeant and Kawka are winners of two straight and six of their last seven at the No. 1 doubles position.
 
San Francisco is fresh off a 7-0 sweep of Iowa and are making their league debut against BYU.
 
Admission to the match is free and pizza will be provided.
