Watson Lands Second Team All-American
PROVO, Utah – Brandon Watson returned to Provo after a weekend of top-notch competition in Federal Way, WA for the men’s NCAA Championships.
Watson competed in the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard diving competitions. In the 1-meter, Watson scored a preliminary score of 335.45 for 14th place. His final score of 369.05 kept him at 14th place overall.
In his next event, Watson placed 15th in the prelims of the 3-meter with his score of 370.00. He moved up to 13th place overall with his final score of 405.65.
Because of Watson’s high finishes, he automatically qualifies for second team All-American in both of his events.
“It was a great competition,” senior diver Brandon Watson said. “I am so grateful for my career at BYU and all those who helped me along the way.”
