Divers See Last Dual Competition
PROVO, Utah – Friday at 11 a.m., the BYU dive team will face off with the divers of Stanford University in the Richards Building Pool as the last meet before post-season competition.
“This will be some great competition for us,” said BYU head diving coach Keith Russell. “This is our last chance to compete before conference championships and zone diving. Our divers have been doing consistently well in practice and working really hard. I think this will be a really great meet.”
Stanford will be bringing 10 divers to compete against all 11 of BYU’s divers.
“I’m excited about this meet,” said All-American diver Brandon Watson. “They have some great divers and I think as long as we do what we do in practice, then we will do well.”
After the meet, the Cougars will have less than a week to make final preparations before conference championships. The swim team will travel to Monterey Park, CA while the dive team will travel Colorado Springs, CO. MPSF Championships will begin Feb. 15th and last through the 18th.
