Watson Scores High In China
PROVO, Utah - BYU Diver Brandon Watson finished his last day of competition today at the World University Games in Shenzhen, China.
Competing in both the 1 and 3-meter springboard events, Watson traveled with a select team to represent the U.S. while in China. Watson began his competition on August 17 with the 3-meter. Scoring 413.90 in the preliminary round, he advanced to the semi-finals. Watson then moved forward to the finals with a score of 421.80 and finished the competition in 8th place with a final of 408.20.
Watson competed today in the 1-meter, his final event. Even though he scored a 302.10, he was unable to get past the preliminaries.
