Watson Wins Second In 3-Meter
Divers returned this weekend from a journey to Minneapolis and a three day meet for the Zone E diving championships.
Dayna Christensen represented the women divers as she placed seventh overall in the women’s 3-meter competition with a preliminary score of 297.65 and a final of 567.80.
Other women competators for BYU include Syrena Miskin and Nicole Przybyla who placed 29th and 42nd with their prelim scores of 234.05 and 211.00, respectively.
In the men’s 1-meter, Brandon Watson placed sixth overall with a prelim score of 335.55 and an overall score of 691.85. Teammates Sam Hatch and Travis Day placed 18th and 22nd in the prelim round with Hatch scoring 253.90 and Day scoring 245.15.
Watson had more success on the 3-meter as he scored a prelim of 361.35 and a final of 767.85 to place second behind ASU’s Riley Mccormic.
Hatch was also successful, scoring a 333.90 as a prelim for the 3-meter and a final of 640.90 to take 12th overall.
