Team Travels To Pacific Invitational
PROVO -- Cougar swimmers will head to Calif. to compete in the annual Pacific Invite all day Friday and Saturday.
“We’re excited for the team to face some really good competition this weekend,” BYU head coach Tim Powers said. “This is a chance for the swimmers to compete in events around the board.”
After competing the freshmen/sophomore meet against Utah and the annual Blue and White Alumni intrasquad meet, the Cougars will be swimming in their first scored meet of the season.
“We’re really looking forward to the men’s team being able to compete against the Stanford swim team,” Powers said. “We both have some great swimmers and as always, it will be a great experience to swim with that kind of competition.”
Next weekend the BYU swimmers and divers will host a meet against Denver on Saturday, Oct. 20 in the Richards Building Pool at 1 p.m.
