PROVO -- After having the last three dual meets at home, the BYU swim and dive team will travel to Air Force and Wyoming this week. The Cougars will take on the Falcons Thursday at 6 p.m. and the Cowboys Saturday at 12 p.m.

“Both are going to be very good meets,” BYU head coach Tim Powers said. “On the men’s side we beat Air Force at the Toshiba Classic, but that was when we were at full strength. We plan on going and racing and giving it everything we have.”

The Cougar men are 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the Mountain West Conference, the Air Force men are 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the MWC and the Wyoming men are 4-3 overall and 0-2 in the MWC.

The CSCAA No. 27 Cougar women lead the conference with an 8-0 overall record and a spotless 5-0 conference record. The Air Force women are 2-6 overall and 0-5 in the MWC while the Wyoming women also boast a perfect 10-0 overall record and 3-0 in the conference.

If the Cougar women defeat Wyoming on Saturday, they will claim the regular season Mountain West Conference title.

“The women’s meet against Wyoming is going to be a very closely-matched meet,” said Powers.

The women are coming off of back-to-back wins against San Diego State and Colorado State while the men last competed against undefeated conference opponent TCU, falling to the Horned frogs 172-119.
