SAN DIEGO -- Since the Cougar swimmers last competed at the Toshiba Classic Nov. 19-21, they have been spending the last month training hard, including a Christmas break training trip to San Diego.

"We had a great week of hard training," said BYU head coach Tim Powers. "We always have a Christmas training trip to work out with another team, and this year we had some tough workouts and competed in some relays to end it."

The team will travel home Saturday after working out with the University of California - San Diego and Truman.

The Cougars will be back in the water to resume conference competition Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Richard Building pool to take on the Horned Frogs of TCU.
