2009-10 Swimming and Diving Schedule Announced

PROVO -- The BYU swimming and diving team announced its 2009-10 schedule featuring nine different events to be held at the Richards Building pool during the season.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to showcase our team at home against some very good teams this year,” said BYU head coach Tim Powers.

The Cougars will host seven dual meets and two diving invitationals featuring teams from the Mountain West Conference as well as Arizona State, Seattle, Boise State and Stanford.

The swimmers will also travel to the Pacific Invitational in Stockton, Calif. Oct. 16-17 and the Nike Cup in Long Beach, Calif. Nov. 19-21 while the divers will travel to Tucson, Ariz. for the Wildcat Diving Invitational Nov. 19-21.

The MWC Championships will be held in Oklahoma City, Okla. February 24-27, 2010 where the Cougars will vie for a spot at the NCAA National Championships in late March.

BYU will begin its season on Sept. 25 with the annual blue and white meet to be held at 3 p.m. in the Richards Building pool. Family and friends are invited and encouraged to attend.
