PROVO -- The men and women will have their last chance to swim an NCAA championship qualifying time this weekend in Las Vegas. The Cougars will travel with some of the swimmers who were not able to compete with the team at the Mountain West Conference championships last weekend.

Several Cougar swimmers posted NCAA provisional times at the championships including sophomore Brittany Davis in the three individual events (500 and 200 free, and 200 back). Davis swam in the NCAA championships last year as a freshman and placed 59th in the 400 free and 36th in the 100 back.

The last chance meet will be held Friday and Saturday on the campus of UNLV. The competition doesn't count as far as wins and losses, but the swimmers will look to make their best times of the season to lock in a birth to the NCAA championships later on this month.
