Kunkel Named Female Diver of the Week

PROVO -- For the third consecutive week and fifth time this season, BYU senior Rachelle Smith Kunkel was named the Mountain West Conference Female Diver of the Week Wednesday.

Kunkel, an All-American from West Valley City, swept the 1-meter and 3-meter events against Colorado State last weekend, in the process establishing a new league-high score of 320.90 on the 3-meter board. Kunkel currently owns the conference-best scores in both events.

Kunkel will lead BYU's divers this Friday as they take on the University of Utah in the final dual meet of the season.
