Cougars Host MWC Foes CSU and UNM This Weekend
PROVO, Utah (January 16, 2002) The BYU women's swimming teams will host Colorado State Friday at 6 p.m. in the Richards Building Pool. On Saturday the Lobos will face the Cougars at 12:00 at the same location. The men's team will have the week off before traveling to Air Force on Jan. 24.
The women's team is 3-3 this season after losing two PAC-10 road meets last weekend at Washington and Oregon State. Last season the women's team lost to Colorado State in their dual meet. BYU saw New Mexico in three different competitions last season and came out on top each time.
The divers saw Colorado State last weekend at the Arizona Invite with two Ram's divers finished in the top-five in the 1-meter event. New Mexico boasts three-time MWC Diver of the Week Becca Barras.
"Both teams are loaded with diving talent," said women's head diving coach Keith Russell . "They should be good challenges for us."
