BYU to participate in Mizzou Invite, Utah Tech Invite this weekend
PROVO, Utah — The BYU swim and dive teams will travel to Columbia, Missouri this week for the Mizzou Invite from Nov. 16-18, and St. George, Utah for the Utah Tech Invite from Nov. 17-19.
Following the duel against the UNLV Rebels, the men hope to continue their undefeated season, while the women are eager to bounce back from their first head-to-head loss this year. A number of universities will be competing at the Invite hosted by the University of Missouri.
In addition to Utah Tech and BYU, nine other universities will be competing in the Utah Tech Invite, including Fresno State, Nevada, and Pepperdine's women's team, along with Pacific, Cal Poly, UC Santa Barbara, UC San Diego, UC Davis and Northern Colorado. Final results will be posted on the BYU website following the conclusion of the events each day.
A total of 30 athletes will travel from BYU's teams to the Missouri Invite, while another 18 will compete in the Utah Tech Invite.
Last Time Out
In the previous meet with UNLV, the BYU men's team bested the Rebels with a final score of 134-109, winning eight of the 13 events in the meet. The BYU women's team suffered their first loss of the year, losing by a final score of 139-104 and winning five of the 13 events on the day. There were multiple personal and season bests set by the Cougars in the events.
Meet Information
The events will begin in Missouri at 9:30 a.m. CT on Wednesday for prelims. Finals will be held at 5:30 p.m. CT each day. The events will be held at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
