BYU welcomes UNLV to Provo for final home meet of the season

PROVO, Utah — BYU swim and dive will compete in its final home meet of the year against former Mountain West Conference foe UNLV in a one day duel event.

Coming off a win against TCU in their previous meet, the Cougars are eager to continue their dominant stretch to begin the season and build momentum heading into the Mizzou Invite on Nov. 16-17. A win over the Rebels would give the Cougars a 3-0 record on the year. Final results of the events will be posted at the meet's conclusion on byucougars.com

Last Time Out

The Cougars swept both days of their duel with TCU, tallying final scores of 172-159 for the women and 180-140 for the men. As a team, BYU placed first in 22 of their 36 events, with pool records being broken in the in the men's 200-yard medley relay with a time of 128.70 and the men's 400-yard medley relay with a time of 3:14.98.

Series Matchups

Last year's meeting in Las Vegas with UNLV resulted in a loss for the women, with a final score of 189-111, and a win for the men, with a final score of 154-144.

Meet Information

The meet will begin Saturday, Nov. 5 at 11 a.m. MDT with the swimmers and divers competing at the same time. It will be held at the Richards Building Pool and admission is free to the public.
