Dominguez and Sproul Earn MPSF Awards

Josue Dominguez earning MPSF Swimmer of the Week

PROVO, Utah – BYU swimmers Josue Dominguez and Brynn Sproul earned the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Athlete of the Week awards after shining in the US Open, hosted by Georgia Tech last weekend. 

Dominguez swam a 1:01.28 in the 100 breaststroke, posting a final B cut and earning his ticket to the upcoming Summer Olympics to represent the Dominican Republic. This is his second career MPSF weekly award, repeating the honor from Nov. 27.

Sproul represented her team swimming in the 100 and 200 backstroke events. She finished with times of 1:04.66 in the 100 and 2:19.20 in the 200 backstroke. This is also Sproul’s second career MPSF weekly award, following her collegiate debut last year in October.
