Cougar dive teams travel to Air Force
PROVO, Utah – Men’s and women’s dive teams from BYU travel to the U.S. Air Force Academy to participate in a two-day invitational from Jan. 27-28, beginning at 9 a.m. MST.
Events will take place over the course of two days, with divers participating on the 1-meter, 3-meter and platform boards. Several different schools will be attending the invite, giving BYU the opportunity to compete against many different opponents.
The BYU dive teams have competed often against Air Force Academy in past in diving events. This dive invitational will be the fifth consecutive year that BYU will have taken part in this event.
Air Force has a young women’s dive team, with three freshmen and three sophomores. The Falcon men’s dive team is a little more spread out, with one freshman, two juniors and one senior.
The Cougar diving team has no sophomores on the roster this year. The BYU women’s team consists of three freshmen, one junior one senior divers, while the men's team consists of pairs with two freshmen, two juniors and two seniors.
