PROVO, Utah– Colorado Mesa College will host BYU and additional schools in a two-day Intermountain Shootout invitational on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 7-8 at El Pomar Natatorium in Grand Junction.

“We have enjoyed going to this meet for the last several years now,” BYU head coach John Brooks said. “It allows the athletes to compete in several events and is a great benchmark for the season.”

The BYU women’s swim meet against Oregon State was the first event that counted toward the season. This invitational will be the first meet that will involve both BYU men’s and women’s swim and dive teams that will be counted in the season standings. Also attending this invitational are teams from the University of Utah, Air Force Academy, and Liberty University.

Events will commence on Friday at 5 p.m. MDT and will continue throughout the evening. The second day of the meet will begin on Saturday at 11 a.m. MDT.
