Blue/White Scrimmage and Alumni meet kick off the Season
Starting off the season at home, the BYU swim and dive team will compete in a combined Blue/White scrimmage and Alumni meet on Saturday at 9 a.m.
"The Blue/White meet is climax to a week filled with friendly competition as members of the team have participated in events against one another," BYU coach John Brooks said. "Inviting the alumni to our Saturday meet will be enjoyable. It's always fun to see all those who have swam in the past and bringing them back to the on-going BYU swim and dive team."
Although this initial meet will not count towards regular season standings, it is an opportunity for the team to get its feet wet and participate in a fun competition. With a total of six meets held in Provo this season, BYU looks forward to hosting several different colleges, including the University of Utah next week in a relay match and Arizona State in mid-October.
The scrimmage and Alumni meet offers free admission and will be open to the public at the Richards Building Pool.
