BYU men's swimming to compete at Pacific Invite

PROVO, Utah–The BYU men’s swim team will compete at the Pacific Invite in Stockton, California, this weekend at the Kjeldsen Pool.

“We are happy to have a men’s only meet, just to give the team an opportunity to bond and be together,” BYU head coach John Brooks said. “This meet will give our swimmers a great opportunity to swim at sea level, and we will be spacing their events out more so they have a better chance to post some faster times. Hopefully we can continue to get faster and improve.”

The invitational will be the second official competition of the season for the Cougars and the first men’s-team only meet. Women’s teams competing throughout the weekend include California, Fresno State, Nevada, Fresno Pacific and San Jose State.

BYU, California and Pacific's men’s teams will all compete on Friday starting at 7 p.m. PDT. The Cougars will then compete against Pacific only on Saturday at 10 a.m. PDT. Cougar fans are encouraged to attend and support the team. Admission to the meet will be $5 for all non-Pacific students.
