Rainer Ng named MPSF/TURBO Athlete of the Week
PROVO, Utah – Swimmmer Rainer Ng was named the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation/ TURBO Male Athlete of the Week for his performance against Grand Canyon last Saturday.
"Everyone loves Rainer," BYU head coach John Brooks said. "He works hard and loves to race and at the same time is also an outstanding student."
Ng won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 49.03 and the 200 fly in 1:49.90. The sophomore from Singapore also finished second in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:51.71.
The weekly award is Ng's first of this season and third of his career.
