Junior Andrew Rutherfurd and incoming freshman Rainer Ng of BYU competed last week in the 15th FINA World Championships at Barcelona, Spain.

“The World Championships are as big as the Olympics,” BYU coach John Brooks said. “Our swimmers represented us well.”

Rutherfurd competed for Bolivia in the 50 and 100 breaststrokes and the 100 freestyle.  Ng competed for Singapore in the 100 and 200 backstroke and the 100 and 200 butterfly.
