Batty Named WCC Men's CC Runner of the Month
SAN BRUNO, Calif.--Coming off a first place overall victory at the Notre Dame Invitational, Miles Batty was named the West Coast Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Month.
In the two meets that Batty has participated in so far this season, which include the Notre Dame Invitational and the BYU Invitational, he finished first place overall and helped his team secure the first place title at both as well.
Batty has helped BYU take the top spot in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Mountain Region. The Cougars also jumped from No. 14 to No. 6 in the national coaches poll last week with their victory at the Notre Dame Invitational.
Next up, Batty and the rest of the Cougars will compete at the Wisconsin Invitational on Oct. 14 in Madison, Wis.
