Men's Cross Country Moves Up In Rankings
PROVO -- After a standout performance at the Pre-Nationals Invitational last weekend, the BYU men’s cross country team has moved up in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association national poll six positions to No. 13.
“Everyone stepped up and performed very well,” head coach Ed Eyestone said. “That's all you can really ask for from a team.”
The Cougars finished second at the Pre-Nationals meet, defeating several ranked teams including No. 8 Colorado, No. 15 Portland and No. 16 North Carolina State, but falling just short of No. 5 Oklahoma.
With the win, BYU now looks toward a 10th conference championship at the Mountain West Conference Championships on October 29 in Laramie, Wyoming.
