Nickname: The Big Bad Bone (high school)

Favorite cold cereal: Post's Blueberry Morning, but I'm usually too cheap to buy it!

Favorite Coach quote: "I'm an excellent driver!" -- Coach Shane

What do I want to be doing 20 years from now: I'll probably have a family, be working for some biomedical engineering company in research or something, and have a ranch somewhere with a few horses.

If I could play another sport, it would be: Basketball, but if I was about a foot taller and maybe a hundred pounds heavier, I'd want to play football.

How did I spend my offseason: I stayed in Provo for running and school then went backpacking in Colorado. Then I went to Beijing and competed in the steeple chase for the U.S. Junior team.

One place I would like to visit: the Bahamas

Before a meet I: Try to stay pretty relaxed but do some quick visualization and sort of run the "perfect race" in my mind.

Why did I choose to play my sport over other sports: It's funny because people ask me why I like to run, and I can't really come up with a good way to describe it other than I just really love it. I think it's the sport that best fits my personality.

My favorite professor at BYU: Chem 111 from Dr. Sevy

What is my favorite activity away from my sport: Playing other sports! Skiing is probably my favorite ... just kidding Coach Shane!

What is my most memorable athletic achievement or moment: Maybe it's just my short-term memory but I think being able to run in Beijing, in the stadium they'll host the '08 Olympics, is one of the most incredible running experiences I've had.

Sometime in my life I would like to: Go sky diving, learn to surf, travel the world

One rule I'd change in my sport: Complimentary breakfast complete with Jamba Juice smoothies and Einstein's Bagels for every competitor!

What is the best book I've ever read: Grapes of Wrath

My advice to youngsters: Don't grow up.

My favorite website: I won't lie, I have a mild case of Facebook addiction!

The best runner I've ever faced is: Well, there are tons of people better than me, but one that I have a lot of respect for is my teammate, Kassi Andersen.

Who had the greatest influence on my athletic career: My dad and mom. They were always so encouraging and helped me focus and reach for goals that I would have otherwise thought out of reach.

If I were on "who wants to be a millionaire," the person I'd call for my lifeline is: Somehow I'd cheat on this one and call both my roomates/teammates, Jocelyn Gardner and Sarah Hansen. If nothing else, they'd make me laugh!
