Duffin Named MWC Athlete of the Week

PROVO -- BYU sophomore Amber Duffin has been selected as the Mountain West Conference Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.

Duffin led the fifth-ranked Cougars to a second place finish at the Great American Invitational in Hoover, Ala. Competing in her first race of the season, Duffin finished third overall in the 5k race with a time of 18:47.

A native of Derwood, Md., Duffin earned four letters in cross country, track and swimming at Magruder High School. She is currently a nursing major.
