Rohatinsky Earns Second MWC Honor
COLORADO SPRINGS -- For the second time this season, junior Josh Rohatinsky has been selected as the Mountain West Conference Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week.
Rohatinsky, a Provo, Utah, native, brought home the individual crown in the Blue Race at the NCAA Pre-Nationals Meet last Saturday in Terre Haute, Ind. He recorded a career-best, and MWC season-best 23:30.7 in the 8K event, which is also the second fastest 8K ran in MWC history. Rohatinsky lead the No. 6 Cougars to a second place finish, in the race that featured 10 other ranked teams.
Rohatinsky's first Athlete of the Week honor came after his performance at the Roy Griak Invitational (8K) on Sep. 24, where he placed third with a time of 24:52.0, and led the Cougars to a first place finish. Rohatinsky also ran in the 4-Mile BYU Alumni Invitational placing first for the second season in a row with a time of 19:46.3.
