Men Edge Up Polls to No. 10 After Beating Colorado State
PROVO, Utah (Nov. , 2003) -- The No. 10 BYU men's team, after their second place finish over No. 10 Colorado State, moved up in the polls again after a month of sitting at No. 12 in the Nation.
Last week in the MWC Championships, the Cougars placed second finishing 12 points ahead of No. 17 Colorado State, who was ranked No. 10 in the Oct. 28 coach's poll. The BYU men only lost to No. 8 Air Force by four points.
"The fact that we moved 12th to 10th place despite finishing second is an indication of how good No. 8 Air Force is because they only beat us by 4 points at the conference meet," men's head coach Ed Eyestone said.
The No. 10 men will look to improve their ranking as they prepare for Mountain Regional competition Nov. 15 in Ogden, Utah.
