Four Cougars named to WCC All-Academic Team
SAN BRUNO, Calif – The West Coast Conference named four Cougars to this year’s cross country WCC All-Academic Team.
Junior Clayton Young and sophomore Brayden McLelland received the honor for the men’s team and senior Kristi Rush and sophomore Olivia Hoj represented the women’s team. Both Young and McLelland received the honor for the second year in a row.
Each WCC All-Academic Team is made up of 10 athletes from the various WCC teams. To be considered for All-Academic honors, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA while being a significant contributor to his or her respective team. The athlete must also participate in at least 50 percent of all races and be at least a sophomore in academic eligibility.
Daniel Carney and Ashleigh Warner received honorable mentions for their respective teams.
