LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – The BYU men’s cross country team left the NCAA National Championship with a third-place finish and three All-American athletes.

Freshman Casey Clinger led the Cougars with a 24th place finish, junior Connor McMillan followed in 30th and junior Rory Linkletter placed 39th. Due to their top-40 finishes, all three were named All-Americans. This was Linkletter’s second time receiving this national honor for cross country. Clinger was one of just six freshmen to be named an All-American this year.

The men’s third-place finish marks the second-best finish in program history and the best since its second-place finish in 1993. The Cougars ranked higher in the polls for longer than any past season. Head coach Ed Eyestone called the team his best team ever.
