Men's and women's cross country teams climb in national polls
PROVO, Utah -- After a dominant performance at the Virginia/Panorama Farms Invitational over the weekend, the BYU men’s cross country team came in this week ranked No. 1 overall by Flotrack. Additionally, the Cougars climbed to No. 4 in the national poll rankings and No. 2 in the Mountain Region rankings by the USTFCCCA.
The Cougars rose in the rankings after finishing the invitational with a total of 42 points, coming in at first and taking down previously top-ranked teams Syracuse and Stanford to claim the victory.
BYU’s women’s team also climbed in the polls and now comes in at No. 13 by Flotrack. They also sit at No. 15 nationally and No. 3 in the Mountain Region rankings by the USTFCCCA after logging a first-place score of 47 points at the invitational over the weekend.
