Cougarettes squad announced for 2020-21

First year BYU co-coaches, Stacy Bills and Morgan St. Pierre have announced the Cougarettes squad for the 2020-21 school year. The nationally recognized dance team features the following BYU students:

  • Madison Bay, Pleasant Grove, Utah
  • Cienne Bethea, Mesa Arizona
  • Lauren Billings, Alpine, Utah
  • Brinley Harris, Gilbert, Arizona
  • Mckinley Hawkes, Alpine, Utah
  • Lonica Jacobson, Syracuse, Utah
  • Abbi Kelley, Orem, Utah
  • Kylie Larsen, Meridian, Idaho
  • Sydney Melling, Lehi, Utah
  • Rachel Parkinson, Draper, Utah
  • Jace Raymond, Orem, Utah
  • Brigitte Reynolds, Mesa, Arizona
  • Brynli Swallow, Meridian, Idaho
  • Caroline Tarbet, Sandy, Utah

“This year’s audition was incredibly hard because there was so much amazing talent, but we feel like we've selected a great team,” Bills said.  

The Cougarettes are widely considered one of the premier collegiate dance teams in the country. Since 1997, the Cougarettes have won five NDA Open Division/Jazz IA championships (2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019), six NDA Hip Hop Division IA championships (2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019) and eight NDA Team Performance Division IA championships (1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2010). They were also United Spirit Association National Champions in 2005 and 2006.

“We are very excited about what the future holds for these dancers and this team,” St. Pierre said.
