The Athletes' Journal: Jodi Maxfield
BYU Athletics has published a special entry on Cougarettes coach Jodi Maxfield in The Athletes’ Journal — a series featuring Cougar athletes telling their story in their own words, combined with imagery and photos from their lives.
Maxfield, longtime Cougarettes coach announced she will be retiring this spring after 30 years at BYU. In a special edition of The Athletes' Journal, Maxfield details her journey to BYU and reflects on her experiences and relationships as the coach of one of the most storied and successful programs in history. Maxfield led the Cougarettes to 19 NDA Collegiate Cheer & Dance National Titles, two United Spirit Association National Championships, a Dance Team Union College Classic Title and two Prague Dance Festival Grand Prix Championships.
