Provo, Utah (July 22, 2009) – The BYU Student All-Sport Pass will go on sale on Aug. 3, 2009 at 9 a.m. (MDT) online at BYUtickets.com. All-Sport Passes (with Football Tickets) have sold out the last two seasons. It is important to logon and purchase as soon as possible. Group seating assignments will begin on Aug. 20, 2009 at 5 p.m. (MDT). By purchasing the All-Sport pass, students and guests will be able to get in to all regular season NCAA* home events during the 2009-10 school year. BYU Athletics and the Marriott Center Ticket Office are excited to announce several changes that will serve the students better and also provide options to the student fan experience.

Online Only

The BYU Student All-Sport pass will be sold online at BYUtickets.com. All students who are designated as “Eligible to Register” (This means the BYU registrar’s office has designated you as eligible to register for classes by July 27) will be allowed to purchase the pass. A change from last year, students will not be required to register for a class to purchase. All those purchasing online will be required to give proper mailing address and email address to ensure that all tickets and All-Sport cards will arrive to the appropriate location. Students should go online between July 28 and Aug. 3 to BYUtickets.com to make sure they are eligible to purchase the pass and make sure their student account is set up.

If you registered (or activated) your student number last year, please use the same login and password. If you have not activated your student number, you will need to set up your account.

Guest Passes

To accommodate as many students as possible, each student will be able to purchase one student pass and up to three guest passes. The guest pass is meant to accommodate spouses, family members and non-BYU student roommates.

Group Size / Sitting with your Friends

Groups will be formed online again and group size will be restricted to 30 members. This will make it easier to seat groups together as well as accommodate more groups. The smaller the group, the easier to manage for all involved. It will be important that your group purchases the same type of All-Sport Pass (Reserved or Rotated). Tickets will be allocated after the Aug. 20 – 5 p.m. deadline by random order after Cougar United placement.

E-Ticket (Print-at-Home)

Students will again be emailed their game ticket the week of a home football game. This ticket must be presented at the gate WITH BYU Student ID for admission. These tickets are transferrable and can be given to other friends and or family. However, if a student e-ticket is used by a non-student, an upgrade fee must be paid at the LaVell Edwards Stadium ticket office (West Parking Lot) to gain admission. Please do not make multiple copies of these emails. Once the bar code is scanned at the gate, any multiple copies of the same ticket that try to enter the game will not be admitted. The ticket office will not reprint any ticket that has already entered the venue. If you forget or lose your ticket, the original purchaser of the ticket may go to the ticket office to reprint the ticket for a $10 charge per ticket.

All-Sport Card

As students are now required to give proper mailing address at the time of All-Sport Pass purchase, the All-Sport card will be mailed to each student on Aug. 28, 2009 or after a pass is purchased. For those not originally from Utah, please put a local address to ensure you receive the pass at your residence here at school.

Price/Fees – Reserved, Rotated, and Non-Football options

There are three different ticket seating options available this year for Athletic Events – Reserved Football, Rotated Football and Non-Football. All of these options are subject to availability.

1. The Reserved Student Seat includes Football Reserved seat tickets and an All-Sport Card good for admission to all BYU NCAA sanctioned home events. The Reserved seats for football will be located in the lower sections behind the home football team (sections 31-37 L) and up on the sidelines (sections 31-32, 36-37). The Student price will be $140 and the Guest Pass will be $175. All fees are included in the price of the ticket. You will not be charged any additional fees on top of the $140/$175 price. All reserved seats will be allocated randomly after Cougar United placement. Different from last year, date and time of purchase will not improve the quality of your seats. However, due to the limited number of seats available in these sections, members of a group who order tickets later than the rest of the reserved seat group, may not be able to purchase tickets in the Reserved section.

2. The Rotated Student Seat includes Football Rotated assigned seat tickets and an All-Sport Card good for admission to all BYU NCAA sanctioned home events. The Rotated seats for football will be in lower sections in the end zone and in the upper sidelines (Sections 25-29, 41-45, 131-132, 136-137). The Student price will be $105 and the Guest Pass will be $125. All fees are included in the price of the ticket. You will not be charged any additional fees on top of the $105/$125 price. This pass will be an assigned rotated seat and students will be sent a different seat with their group for each home game.

3. The Non-Football Student All-Sport Pass will include admission to all BYU NCAA sanctioned home events excluding football. The Student price for the Non-Football Student All-Sport Pass will be $50. Guest passes for the Non-Football pass will cost $75 (the same price as the Men’s Basketball Upper Bench Season Ticket)

Group Seats Allocated – Aug. 20, 2009 at 5 p.m.

The seating will begin to be assigned on Aug. 20, 2009 at 5 p.m. After this time, groups will be allocated tickets. If tickets still remain, they will be sold until gone. Get on much earlier than this date as seats will go fast.

Cougar United

Cougar United members from 2008-09 will be allocated seats in the non-rotated, Reserved section first. This year will be the last priority seating for Cougar United members. Cougar United groups will be given priority only if the entire group is Cougar United or if a Cougar United member is seated alone. After Cougar United are placed, the remainder of the seats will be allocated randomly.

Marriott Center Seating (Men’s Basketball)

We are pleased to announce that students will enjoy increased seating closer to the Marriott Center floor for Men’s Basketball this year. As always, seating will be first come, first served – General Admission seating in the student section. However, this year, most of the Faculty and Staff from sections 27-29 are being relocated behind the baskets. This opens up most all of the bench seating on the North side of the Marriott Center for students. To get into games, students will have to swipe their All-Sport Pass for entry. With more seating closer to the floor, the atmosphere in the Marriott Center will be that much more exciting and intimidating for opposing teams.
