Kimball to be Honored by Varsity Club

PROVO -- Next Saturday the Varsity Club hosts a 4 p.m. banquet honoring former trainer Rod Kimball and a tail gate party prior to this Saturday's men's basketball game with Utah which tips off at 1 p.m.

The BYU-Utah tail gate party is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. In the Marriott Center Cougar Room.

Prior to the BYU-Colorado State game (Jan. 22), Varsity Club members are invited to attend a banquet honoring Kimball at 4 p.m. in room 3290 of the Wilkinson Center. At 5:30 p.m. that day until the 7:05 p.m. tipoff of the CSU game there will also be a reception in the Marriott Center Cougar Room for Kimball. Those wishing to attend the dinner may call and make reservations for the dinner at a cost of $20 per person, please have your credit card ready when you call. Kimball will also be honored with the Foundation of Excellence Award at halftime of the Jan. 22 game.

Other Varsity Club tail gate parties will be on Feb. 17 prior to the BYU New Mexico men's basketball game and on March 4 prior to the BYU San Diego State men's basketball game. Both of these tail gate parties will be at 5:30 p.m., prior to the 7 p.m. Tipoffs.

In other Varsity Club news, Larry Echohawk, former Cougar football player, and Ron Saffell, former BYU baseball pitcher, have

been named as board members.
