A Statement Addressing New ROC Ticketing Process

At the heart of BYU Athletics, the ROC is a driving force. It is your passion, unity and your loyalty that makes LaVell Edwards Stadium one of the best environments in the country! We strive to create an environment where your game-day experience is thrilling, memorable and above all, safe.

After listening to feedback and exploring options, we are adjusting to a first-come, first-served digital queue system. While we understand this does not alleviate all concerns that we are seeing/hearing or create a perfectly replicable replacement for what’s been done previously, we feel this is the best solution for all at this point. We will not be going back to a physical line or camping format due to significant safety concerns that have arisen in past years. We have attempted to implement mitigating factors to address the safety concerns in the past, but due to the sheer size and volume of fans in the line, for the safety of all, we need to move to a new format.

We want the ROC to have fun. We want meaningful traditions to endure. We want the ROC to be loud and passionate. We do not want to put our students in unnecessary physical danger in order to get a good seat in the stadium.

A few details to note with the new system:

• The first-come, first-served digital system will still not guarantee anyone front-row tickets, but it will produce the opportunity for those who request earliest the best chance at the best seats.
• The system will provide a venue entrance time within one of multiple queues at an assigned gate/entrance location.
• The system will not provide assigned seats. Friends wishing to enter the stadium together, but with different queue entrance times, must enter with the queue of the latest assigned time.
• It has been extremely rare for ROC pass holders to be turned away from LaVell Edwards Stadium due to maximum capacity of the ROC section being met. We do not anticipate this changing.
• In order to ensure the ROC best supports BYU students, only spouse ROC passes will be available for non-BYU students.

Again, we will not be going back to a physical line or camping format due to significant safety concerns. With that, we are trying to do the best we can to implement a new system.
