BYU in the Top-25 after Directors’ Cup winter standings

PROVO, UTAH – BYU Athletics is ranked No. 24 in the nation in the 2023 Learfield IMG College Directors’ Cup Final Division I Winter Standings released on Thursday.

The Directors' Cup annually ranks college athletic programs around the country by awarding points based on each institution’s finish in NCAA Championships. Preliminary standings are released following the fall and winter athletic seasons and lead up to the release of a final ranking following the spring season.

The Cougars’ winter sports combined to generate 112.25 points in winter competition, thanks to a No. 12 finish in men’s indoor track and field and a No. 24 finish in women’s indoor track and field.

BYU was No. 3 after fall completion. The final Directors' Cup rankings will be released after spring competition.
