Fans invited to Cougar Kickoff on Aug. 21

PROVO, Utah – The ninth annual Cougar Kickoff will be held on Wednesday Aug. 21, from 6-8:30 p.m. MDT at Haws Field.

With an expected crowd of over five thousand, the event will feature athletes and coaches from football, women's soccer, cross country and women’s volleyball who will be on hand to interact with Cougar fans. 

Those in attendance can also play on a rock wall, run the cross country course and take pictures with Cosmo and the Spirit Squad. In addition, fans can purchase food from Costa Vida and receive free Powerade.

Fans will have the opportunity to have one item autographed by the student-athletes.

The 2013 football poster will be available for sale at the event, with an additional free football poster also available for those that are at the Cougar Kickoff. Cougar Nation may also purchase the new "Loyal, Strong and True" t-shirt from the BYU Bookstore. 

The annual Cougar Sale featuring BYU apparel, jerseys, shoes and other items will take place from 5-7 p.m. the same night in the Indoor Practice Facility.

The following BYU sponsors will be in attendance: National Guard, Red Robin, Sprint, Xfinity, Mod Bod, Wells Fargo, Carl's Jr, Yogurtland, Larry H. Miller Auto and America First Credit Union.

Admission is free and tickets are not required.
