Swimming Career

  • Competed at BYU (2000-04); specialized in breaststroke
  • Four-time Mountain West 200 breaststroke champion
  • Two-career NCAA Championship appearances
  • Competed at 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials in both 100 and 200 breast, finishing 12th and 27th, respectively.

Personal

  • Husband is Eric, they have four kids: Emma, Marcus, Lilly and CJ
  • Graduated with B.S. in exercise science (BYU, 2004)

Tamber McAllister coached the BYU swim team as an assistant during two different stints (2005-2011 and 2012-2018) before returning in 2021.

From 2018-2021 McAllister was the Utah Tech Head Women’s Swim Coach, where she was Awarded Coach of the Year in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.  While there the women’s team also broke over 70 Team Records and qualified multiple Swimmers to compete at the NCAA Championships.

Prior to coaching at BYU, McAllister competed on the BYU swimming team from 2000-04 while earning her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science. During that time, she specialized in the breaststroke events, winning the Mountain West Conference 200 breast title four years in a row and attending the NCAA Division I Championships two of the years.  She also competed in the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials in the 200 and 100 breast placing 12th and 27th respectively. 

Married to Eric McAllister, the couple has Four children, Emma, Marcus and Lilly and CJ.
