• Parents are Annie and Chad Hernaez
• Has four younger siblings
• She is a big California girl, so she loves going to Newport Beach, surfing, playing sand volleyball and long boarding down the boardwalk
• Loves Mexican food
• Why BYU?
  • "I was taught by missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints a few years ago, and they inspired me to come to BYU."

Before BYU

• Had a scholarship to play soccer for Washington State, did not play in any games before transferring
• Served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Salt Lake City South, Utah mission
•  Graduated from Santiago High School where she was one of the top youth goalkeepers in the country
• Earned First Team All-CIF, All-Area and All-League
• Led her high school team to a 20-2-6 record, extending the teams unbeaten run in league to 71 games
• Played for the So Cal Blues club team
