Career Summary

McKenzie St. Clair's career got off to a slow start after using a medical redshirt for her first season, but she then became a key contributor througout the rest of her career. She played most of her career in the infield with some time in the outfield and was named to the All-WCC First Team in 2014. Througout her career, she has received academic honors from the conference in each season. In each season, she helped BYU win the conference title and advance to NCAA Regionals.

Before BYU

  • Prepped at Lone Peak High School her freshman to junior seasons and then attended Sunrise Mountain High School her senior year
  • Graduated with honors for being in the top 10 percent of her class
  • Four-year honor roll student
  • Earned Academic All-Region honors her freshman, sophomore and senior seasons
  • Named Lone Peak offensive MVP her freshman year
  • First-team All-Region as a freshman
  • Was Region IV, 1st place as a sophomore
  • Was All-Region her senior year
  • First-team All-State and first-team All-Arizona as a senior
  • Took second in the Arizona State High School Tournament for 4A

Freshman Year 2014

  • All-WCC First Team
  • Second on the team and fifth in the WCC with a .350 batting average
  • Led the team and was third in the conference with .452 on-base percentage
  • Second on the team and in the WCC in runs (37), hits (55) and RBI (34)
  • Named as the first-ever WCC Softball Player of the Week
  • Third on the team with five home runs 
  • Played second base this season for the first time in her softball career.
  • Went a perfect 3-for-3 against East Carolina with three runs and three RBI.
  • Singled to tie the game at 10 against Idaho State and finished 3-for-4 with four RBI and a run in a come from behind victory
  • Hit a two-out double in the top of the sixth and became the winning run against Pacific. Also had a two-out RBI single in the top of the seventh.
  • Finished 2-for-3 including the game winning two-RBI single to complete the sweep against conference-foe Saint Mary's
  • Started 54 games of 56 played.

Sophmore Year 2015

  • All-Academic WCC selection
  • All-WCC Second Team by College Sports Madness
  • WCC Player of the Week by College Sports Madness (4/27)
  • Led team in sac flies with five and tied for third in WCC play with 14 runs batted in
  • Blasted a grand slam in the 9-3 win over San Diego
  • Went 3-for-4 against SIU and against Utah State
  • Hit 2-for-3 including a triple in the 5-4 win over Hawaii
  • Named to the 2015 All-WCC Preseason Softball Team
  • Named to the College Sports Madness 2015 West Coast Preseason All-Conference First Team

Junior Year 2016

  • Named to the 2016 WCC Commissioner's Bronze Honor Roll
  • Has five home runs in the season
  • Tallied two RBI against Grand Canyon, No. 24 Fresno State and Southern Utah
  • Had three RBI in first WCC game against LMU
  • Tallied three RBI off a double against Saint Mary's
Senior Year 2017

  • Started 17 games in the outfield and saw time as an occasional pinch hitter 
  • Had 2 hits and 2 RBI against LIU Brooklyn
  • Went 2/3 with 2 runs and a solo home run at Southern Utah
  • Had 1 RBI, 1 hit (a double) and 1 run at Santa Clara
