Career Summary

Hannah Howell came to BYU from Ruston, Louisiana to pitch for the Cougars. She finished in the top 10 in multiple career pitching categories, including wins, shutouts, saves, strikeouts, strikeouts per 7 innings and innings pitched. Part of the squad that advanced to the 2010 NCAA Super Regionals, Howell pitched a few innings against Arizona. As a senior, she pitched the second perfect game in BYU history against LMU.

  • Her 196.2 innings pitched on the year was the 6th-most in a season in BYU history while her 137 strikeouts were 10th-most in a single season
  • Threw a complete game 1-hitter at Louisiana Tech in her first game as a Cougar in her home state, walking 3 with just a single strikeout in a 5-0 win
  • Threw a complete game (5 inn.) 1-hitter at Nevada, striking out 8 with only two walks in the win
