2001: A member of the 2001 NCAA National Championship team ... competed in 58 games as a sophomore ... recorded over 70 kills on the season, averaging over 1.2 kills per game ... hit over .240 on the season ... recorded 11 aces, including a season-high three aces against No. 2 Pepperdine on March 3 ... Also credited with a season-high 11 digs and four blocks against the Waves.

Before BYU

Attended Gimnazija Ljubljana high school...named "best sportsman" in 1997...played in the 1997 high school beach volleyball championships and was named the Most Valuable Player...a two-time champion at both the Slovenia youth and cadet levels...Finished third in the first-division nationals in 1997 and 1998...prior to coming to BYU, helped guide his club team to a first-place finish in the national league...Named the 1997 Most Valuable Player in the European Youth Championships in Spain.

Junior Year 2002

Competed in 94 games during the season...recorded a season-high 22 kills against UC Irvine (Feb. 10)...ranked third on the BYU roster with 19 service aces on the season...recorded double-digit kills in 10 matches during the season...led the Cougars with 18 kills on 24 swings (.750) against Lewis (Mar. 9)...recorded a total of 205 kills, 9 assists, 91 digs and 35 blocks on the season.

Senior Year 2003

An MPSF Academic All-Conference selection ... competed in 75 games on the season ... registered double-digit kills on three occasions, including a personal-season-best 12 kills against Lewis in the NCAA Championship match on May 3 ... hit over .600 in two matches on the season ... fourth on the BYU roster in serving with 14 aces on the season ... also added 61 digs and 22 blocks.
