- Arrived mid-season last year from Germany
- Helped boost the team with key conference win

- Kaufhold added much needed depth to the squad
- Played a majority of the season at No. 6 singles
- Preserved BYU's perfect home record with his big win over the University of Denver

2005-2006
- Selected to compete in the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championships where he went 1-1 in doubles with partner James Ludlow
- Scored a match-clinching win for BYU against No. 58 UNLV after coming back from an Achilles tendon injury sustained the day before against Utah. Kaufhold played through the pain and served himself to a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Elliot Wronski to give the Cougars the 5-2 match win
- Named MWC Player of the Week after going 5-1 at the Corpus Christi Invitational
- Overall 18-16 record in singles and regular season 16-9 in doubles, including a 12-8 record with partner Ivan Kokurin
- All-MWC in singes and doubles
- 2005 Student Athlete Academic Center Scholar Athlete
Senior Year
2006-2007
- Compiled 6-2 singles and 6-2 doubles (with James Ludlow) records during the fall season
- Was invited to participate in the Polo Ralph Lauren Mens All-American Championships in both singles and doubles where he went 1-1 in singles and 0-1 in doubles
- Named team captain at the start of the spring season
- Competed most of the spring season at No. 2 singles and No. 1 doubles
- In dual matches aggravated a foot injury, yet still beat Nejc Smole of No. 60 Denver
- At No. 2 singles in doubles competition, beat the team of Dickhardt and Groh of SDSU once in the regular season when the Aztec duo was ranked No. 14 in the nation, and again in the MWC tournament they were ranked No. 22
- Finished the season with a spring singles record of 12-12 and a doubles record of 12-12
- Tallied a 19-14 overall singles record and an 18-14 overall doubles record
- Received All-MWC honors in doubles competition
- Received the Doug & Joy Heiner Endowed Scholarship for Academic and Athletic Achievement
- Received a Coachs Award for his leadership and defining what it means to be a scholar-athlete
