Freshman Year
2000-2001
- Came to BYU on January 18, played in a match against UCLA the next day
- Went 12-9 in singles, winning seven straight at one point
- Played at every spot in singles except No. 1
- Went 14-9 in doubles at the two and three spots
- Named Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year
Sophmore Year
2001-2002
- Came back after a successful freshman season to post an impressive 18-7 record in singles at the No. 2,3 and 4 positions
- Went 11-2 in region play
- Eeamed up with Nicolas Losee to go 15-9 at the No. 2 and 3 positions
Junior Year
2002-2003
- Teamed up with Carlos Lozano to help the Cougars claim the third place spot in the Mountain West Conference Championships
- Together Nyman and Lozano finished the season with a doubles record of 22-14
- Finished the season by posting a 20-11 singles record

- Went 6-0 in singles and 5-1 in doubles in the BYU Invitational
- Went 4-2 in singles and 1-1 in doubles in the ITA All-American Championship
