BYU takes on Creighton at EnergySolutions Arena

With a 3-3 record the Cougars are finally back in Utah after playing five consecutive games out of state.

BYU will play a rare neutral-site game in Salt Lake City at EnergySolutions Arena (ESA) taking on Creighton (2-2) Wednesday, Nov. 28 at 3 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on BYUtv.

The Cougars have not played at ESA since the 1992-93 season when the WAC Championships were held there.

Last week the Cougars went 1-1 on the road picking up a 62-48 win at Arizona State and dropping a hard fought game at Washington State 67-52.

In four of the six games played to date, BYU had three players score in double digits. Sophomore Lexi Eaton has recorded double digits in points in all six contests.

Creighton Capsule
Creighton enters the week with a 2-2 record picking up wins over South Dakota State and South Dakota and losing to No. 12 Oklahoma and No. 22 Kansas. The Bluejays return 10 letterwinners including four starters from last year’s team that compiled a 20-13, 11-7 record, finishing fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Creighton leads the series 6-5

Last Meeting
These two teams have not played each other in 20 years when they were both part of the Western Athletic Conference.

During the 1991-92 season they split the series during league play with each team winning on its home floor. In Provo on Jan. 27, 1992 BYU won 78-73.  In Omaha on Feb. 20, 1992 the Bluejays won 92-63.

Up Next
The following week the Cougars get set to battle two in-state schools. On Tuesday, Dec. 4 they host Utah State at 7 p.m., in a game that airs live on BYUtv. The team then travels to Salt Lake City for a matchup against Utah on Sat. Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. Fans can follow the action between the Cougars and Utes live on BYU Radio.
