Hamson Receives National Honor
BYU sophomore center Jennifer Hamson has been named Madness West Coast Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. College Sports Madness identifies the highest impact players nationally and from each conference each week during the basketball season. Complete List
The 6-foot-7 center from Lindon, Utah, and Pleasant Grove HS helped guide the Cougars to a 30-point upset of No. 18 Gonzaga last Thursday.
In the game against the Bulldogs she scored 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds, dished out one assist, had three blocks and one steal in 22 minutes of action.
BYU is back in WCC action this week hosting San Francisco, Thursday and San Diego on Saturday.
