Riley Scores Two More Weekly Awards
PROVO, Utah—Senior forward Kristen Riley garnered two more awards Friday, earning College Basketball Mid-Major Player of the Week from netscoutsbasketball.com and the Madness High-Major Conference Player of the Week from collegesportsmadness.com.
The awards are Riley’s second and third of the week after taking the West Coast Conference Player of the Week award for her performances Jan. 26 and Jan. 28.
Riley averaged 16.5 points and 10.5 rebounds last week, scoring back-to-back double-doubles. Riley followed last week’s performance with a third-straight double-double against Pepperdine Thursday, recording 15 points and 13 rebounds.
The 6-foot-3 starter averages 11.3 points per game and 7.4 rebounds.
Riley and the No. 22 Cougars take on Saint Mary’s Saturday in a conference rematch at 1 p.m. at the Marriott Center.
