Women’s Hoops Ranked In AP Poll
With an 18-3, 7-1 record the BYU women’s basketball team enters this week’s AP poll tied at No. 23.
The Cougars were last ranked in the AP poll on Nov. 27, 2006. Last week the team received votes and also collected votes during the week of Dec. 26 when BYU had an 11-2 record. That week they also picked up votes in the USA Today ESPN Coaches Poll.
Last season the team received votes for five straight weeks in the AP Poll from Feb. 14 to Mar. 14. They also got votes in the USA Today ESPN Coaches Poll twice during the week of Mar. 1 and Mar. 8.
West Coast Conference foe Gonzaga is ranked at No. 22, giving the WCC two teams in the Top 25 for the first time ever.
The Cougars host Gonzaga on Feb. 9 at 7 p.m.
