LAIE -- The Hukilau Invitational in Laie, Hawaii, champions are the Cougars of the BYU Women's basketball team after a 81-44 victory over the University of Hawaii on Saturday as they advance their record to 5-2 this season.

"I think this was the best game we've played all season," said BYU head coach Jeff Judkins. "We played a complete game as a team."

Junior Jazmine Foreman led all players with 21 points, a season-and career-high. Foreman scored 12 of her points from four 3-pointers. Teammate Coriann Wood was the only other Cougar to score in double-figures with 11 of her own points. Every Cougar on the roster this season saw minutes against Hawaii in the victory.

A quick 8-0 run for BYU would start the game with Hawaii's first points coming from Breanna Arbuckle after three whole minutes of play. Arbuckle's 2-pointer off the backboard would be Hawaii's only points for the first 13 minutes of play. Eight minutes would go by before the Rainbow Wahine scored again.

The score going into the half was 48-16, giving BYU its largest lead at the half this season. The Cougars shot 52 percent from the field in the first half compared to Hawaii's 22 percent.

The first five minutes of the second half saw BYU out shooting Hawaii 12-6 and would continue to lead through the rest of the game.

The Cougars finished shooting 50 percent from the field compared to Hawaii's 30 percent and would out-rebound the Rainbow Wahine 44-32.

"Our execution was great on offense and defense," Judkins said. "We didn't give them any easy shots."

BYU will continue its play on the road with a trip to Ogden, Utah, to play Weber State on Wednesday.
