Calvert named to CSC Academic All-District Team
PROVO, Utah — BYU sophomore forward Emma Calvert was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, Tuesday.
To qualify for this honor, a student-athlete must have completed one full calendar year at her current institution and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. She must hold at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average at their current institution and must be a starter or important reserve. Nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games.
Calvert is a pre-business major who holds. 3.69 GPA and has appeared in all of the Cougars' 27 games this season, starting 22 times.
The native of Farr West, Utah, averages 5.9 points on 42.8 percent shooting while grabbing 3.5 rebounds, dishing out 1.3 assists and recording 1.1 blocks per game to lead the Cougars.
The forward has scored in double figures five times this season, notching a career-high 13 points against Portland on Dec. 19, 2022.
